The giant viewing stones by the Japanese Cultural Center.
We wanted to walk through the garden at the Japanese Cultural Center, but it's closed on Mondays.
Angel's Flight is across the street. We rode up for a quarter each.
At the top of Angel's Flight.
At MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) by the airplane junk sculpture.
Inside MOCA's permanent collection. We also saw the Gorky Retrospective.

We have a swim followed by some Ravenswood chardonnay wine, salami, cheese and crackers. David likes
the hors d'oeuvres.
Spaghetti for dinner. David and Evelyn like it.
Saturday morning, Walter drives Andrea and me along with the kids (Evelyn stayed behind to decorate the
cake Chris made) up to Hilmar to see the cheese factory. We go upstairs to see some exhibits, including
this cow milking display.
After the Hilmar exhibition, Robert and Michelle meet us at the Vagabond Inn and then we go over to
Chris and Gary's house.
Chris baked a cake and Evelyn decorated it for Walter's 60th birthday celebration.
Robert and Michelle dip their tootsies in the jacuzzi.
The warm day encourages total relaxation.
Later Jack (my father) and his wife Maggie join us, along with neighbors Bill and Sue. Gary too.
We pose for pictures. Rick, Chris, Jack, and Walter.

On the way back to Torrance on Sunday, Andrea and I stop at the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero. I spot
the primate sculpture from the rear, and thinking it looks like Buddha, approach it to see for sure.
Andrea likes the emu.
We also like the flamingos.
The kids will need to put their heads in the lion's mouth to get a drink.
We say aloha to the zoo. We had lunch in the park (before visiting the zoo). We got back on the US
101 highway south and arrived in Torrance at about 4:30 PM.
