Robotics Laboratory

In January and February we don't take "vacation" as such, but spend our days and nights in the Robotics Lab at Redondo High School for the FRC build season.

A Free Friday Outing

On Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, we drove to San Pedro for breakfast and stopped again at the
Korean Friendship Bell.

UH Alumni Event

On Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, we represented the University of Hawaii at the Torrance College Fair at
South High, persuading students to consider UH for their college choice.

Becky's Visit

Becky visited from New York, from March 15 to March 22 when she departed for a week in Hawaii. On the 18th (Thursday), we took the Metro to the Civic Center and saw MOCA and had lunch at Kendal's on Grand Avenue.

From the Metro we walked east on Temple Street past the courthouse toward the "Go for Broke"
memorial. On the way we passed this public art of the "swiss cheese people."

As you can see, it's a fairly massive stainless steel plate sculpture.

We saw the "Go for Broke" memorial and then went into the MOCA Geffen, walked to Angel's Flight,
which is now back in operation, went up Angel's Flight to the MOCA on Grand Avenue. That's the
Disney Music Hall in the background.
