November 2010: Our move to Hawaii

Andrea and I flew to our new home in Hawaii (Oahu) on Friday, November 12, 2010. On November 13 we flew to the Big Island for the JUSTSAP Space Symposium at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel. We returned to Oahu on November 18.

Andrea and I had dinner at the Beach House Restaurant at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Kohala
Coast of the Big Island.

At the Luana Lounge at the Orchid Hotel.

When we got back from the Big Island, the lawn really needed mowing.

So we bought an electric (battery) lawn mower. RTFM (read the "friendly" manual), I always say.

California 53rd AD Assemblymember-elect Betsy Butler and her mom Peg joined us for
Thanksgiving dinner along with Lenore's friend Carol.

Andrea and I see off Betsy and Peg at the Hale Koa Hotel after a drive around Oahu.

Andrea and I hiked up the Wailupe Valley trail for about 70 minutes before we stopped, took a break,
and headed back down.

On the way we discovered many koa trees.

Taking a break up past the grove of norfolk pines.
