You may not represent someone else's work as your own. You may use another person's code in a program only if it is accurately and completely attributed. Your programs will be graded on the content you create.
As an example of proper attribution, suppose you use some sample code from the text floppy disk. Your programmer's block at the top of your program should say something to the effect of "Portions of this program are from the text Structured C for Engineering and Technology by Adamson et al., copyright 1998 by Prentice-Hall." In addition, each function that uses borrowed code should be clearly indicated with a comment block.
