No Kings Day at the State Capitol

Andrea and I took Joleen to the demonstration on Saturday, June 14. It's also the day of the Kamehameha Day Parade and Flag Day, with a veterans ceremony at the capitol.

Friday evening Beth came by with some balloons for us.

We were able to get six baby Dopey Donny balloons into the back of the Leaf.

Saturday morning I put out the flag for Flag Day before our morning walk before breakfast.

We parked in the Saint Andrews Church parking lot and got the ballons out of the back.

Beth had arranged for the DJ to bring the equipment and play music.

Enthusiastic crowd with creative signs.

I walked into the capitol rotunda and saw the Flag Day ceremony.

When the color guard passed by I saluted our flag.

Nonviolent and exciting. The DJ also played Dylan and Hendrix.
