White Black 1. c4 Nc6 2. Nc3 e6 3. Nf3 a5 a5 is often played after white's a3, but here it's premature. 4. d4 Ra7 Black is wasting time. 5. e4 Be7
6. Bd3 Nb4 Nb4 is useless and wastes more time. 7. Be2 Ra8 More time wasting by black! 8. a3 Na6 9. O-O c6 10. Re1 d6 White has established a strong center and there's very little to be done about it.
11. Bf4 Nf6 12. h3 O-O 13. Qc2 Nh5 14. Bh2 Kh8 15. Ra1d1 Qb6 Black really hasn't much better than this rather useless queen move.
16. d5 c6xd5 White begins to open lines for attack. 17. e4xd5 Bd7 Black is still developing. 18. Bd3 g6 Black parries the threat to take the king's rook pawn but at a cost of weakening the black squares in front of the king. 19. Qd2 e5 White prepares to take advantage of the weak squares on the king side while black locks the center. 20. Qh6 Qxb2 White sacrifices a pawn to get a solid grip on the king side.
21. Ne4 Qxa3 White brings another piece to bear while black foolishly accepts the second pawn. 22. Ne4g5 Nf6 Black doesn't see the next sacrifice coming. 23. Nxe5 dxe5 No good moves are left for black. Checkmate is coming. 24. Bxe5 Black resigns
