December 2019 Chess Game

The game shown here was played against my chess applet, the Homeostatic Chess Player, a computer program I wrote in the first year of this century. Humans are not allowed to look at books during a tournament, and neither should computers. There is no book built into the Homeostatic Chess Player, it invents all its openings.

King's Gambit Accepted

I played white, minimal look ahead is six tempi. December 12-13. This one is a 15 move shorty.

	White	Black
1.	e4	e5
2.	f4	exf4
3.	Nf3	d5 The Abbazia defense.
4.	exd5	Qxd5
5.	Nc3	Qe6+ Probably not the best for black.

Position after move 5.
6.	Be2	Nf6
7.	O-O	Rg8
8.	Bb5+	Kd8 Black must watch out for getting his queen pinned to his king by white's rook.
9.	d4	g5
10.	Ne5	Rg7 Black protects against Bc4.

Position after move 10.
11.	Re1	a5 Black should work on developing his pieces. a6 would have been better.
12.	d5	Qb6+
13.	Kh1	Bf5 Too late.
14.	Qe2	Ra7
15.	Nxf7+ Black resigns

Position after move 26.
