CSci 271 Announcements

November 20, 1998: Monday's class (November 23) will begin a half hour late (at 4 PM) due to an engineering curriculum meeting.

November 6, 1998: The second mid-term exam will be at the regular class time (3:30 PM) November 11 in OHE 122.

October 25, 1998: Exams and homeworks will be handed back to students in the discussion sessions, or may be picked up from the TA during the TA's office hours.

October 22, 1998: Monday's class (October 26) will begin a half hour late (at 4 PM).

October 8, 1998: The mid-term exam will be at the regular class time (3:30 PM) Oct. 14, in THH201 (different building, different room).

October 8, 1998: The homework assigned on Oct. 7 will not be due the day of the mid-term exam (Oct. 14), but will be due the following Wednesday. Correspondingly, the mid-term exam will not cover the associated topics (sections 2.3 and 2.6).

September 17, 1998: The get-together for new undergraduate students (freshman and transfer) has slipped eight days, until Thursday, October 1 from noon to 2 PM on the lawn in front of the Salvatori Computer Science building. If this is your first time at USC, come socialize with your fellow new students and instructors and professors. Pizza, sandwiches, and drinks will be served.

September 11, 1998: There will be a get-together for new undergraduate students (freshman and transfer) on Wednesday, September 23, from noon to 2 PM on the lawn in front of the Salvatori Computer Science building. September 11, 1998: A small number of students did not attend the first class and did not look at the Web page where the homework assignment was given. For this first homework only, if you fall into the above category, you may turn in your late first homework by Tuesday, September 15, 3 PM for full credit. All future homeworks will adhere to the standard policy: no late homework accepted without prior arrangement.

August 21, 1998: Students should read chapter 1.1 of the text Discrete Mathematics and its Applications before the first class on Wednesday, September 2.
