Day Two: Friday

Qualification day.

We arrived at 7:00 AM and I walked up to the UH Campus Center for breakfast while Andrea had breakfast at the volunteer
lounge in the Stan Sheriff Center. I used to eat here every day when I was a student at UH and it still has that great
Diamond Head view.

I noticed some palm tree style architecture on this UH building with Kuykendall Hall in the background.

Opening ceremonies began with a mele (chant) followed by hula dancing.

They danced in the exciting Tahitian style.
