Tuesday afternoon at the beach is saw this brown booby, first on the water, then flying.
The booby dived in to catch a fish then sat on the water again.
At the year end meeting and dinner for Aina Haina Prepared. Danny had the board members, including Andrea and me, stand for recognition.
Danny handed out certificates of thanks to volunteers.
Wednesday morning, December 5, we went to City Mill to get some plywood to repair the little library. Andrea looks at the plants for sale.
Tile has been removed from the shower-bath and the area is being prepared to receive new tile.
Wednesday afternoon I went to the beach where the Fire Department was training for ocean rescue.
There were three city jet skis: two Fire Department and one Lifeguard.

Friday afternoon I went to the beach and saw this spotted eel in the shallows by the Sans Souci apartments.

People brought all kinds of things to eat and drink so there was plenty for everyone.
Our Christmas tree was set up in the front room.
Many conversations took place and the general hubub drowned out the Christmas music.
After the business meeting members showed some of their trees to be put in the show at Noelani Elementary School in Manoa next Sunday.
Some members worked on trees and had refreshments.
On Monday the plumbers were back at work. The new four inch pipe will be covered in concrete where it passes over the lanai slab.

We parked near the Aquarium and on the walk to Wisp stopped for a photo at the kamani tree in Sans Souci Beach Park.
A large club gathering was at Wisp and service was difficult, so Andrea and I left to go to the Kaimana Hotel bar.
We had Manhattans with calamari, fried zucchini, and New York steak pupu. We stopped at Russel Convenience for ice cream on the way home.

On Saturday Andrea went for a mid-day massage at Helen's Havven so I fixed myself lunch: chicken sandwich, cookies, cake, and candy.
The bathroom refurbisment is complete. Needs a shower curtain and rod.

Thursday afternoon we went to the beach. It was fairly crowded, and not just with Christmas tourists. I'll bet that over half of them
are locals getting an early start on Christmas vacation.
Friday the 21st we had breakfast with Diane and her daughter Melissa at the Hau Tree Lanai. They were leaving for Maui later that morning.
Friday evening Jennifer and Jerry came over for dinner of boeuf bourguignon. We also had fire crackers and Christmas crackers.

Andrea took Mom for a drive around Makapuu on Monday morning before stopping at City Mill for grass seed, compost, and fertilizer.
