Inside the House conference room on the third floor, Michelle Foyt introduced Virginia of the Public Access Room

The musicians started promptly at 5:30 playing classic Hawaiian songs.
The lovely hula dancer Mele.
I tipped the dancer again just before we left for the evening. It started raining just as we got up from the table.
We stopped at the Kaimana Hotel for a mai tai for me, coffee for Andrea, and gelato with fruit for both of us. We
watched the surf contest at Sunset Beach recorded earlier in the day. We waves were up to about 15 foot faces.

So I had the beach mostly to myself. I swam and did my gymnastics as usual.
On Tuesday morning I went down to vote and the parking lot had overflowed. I had to stand in line. All the voting booths were used.
Election day is a school holiday so the beach was crowded in the afternoon when I went. This is at 2:00 PM, a little earlier than usual.
Andrea reads on the beach Wednesday afternoon.
We were celebrating the election victories of Mayor Kirk Caldwell and State Senator-elect Stanley Chang. As Andrea and Jack
Nicholson as President in Mars Attacks said, "two out of three ain't bad."
Looking toward Portlock and Koko Head, the weather was beautiful.

It was a fairly low tide, not super-low, but a waning moon afternoon low tide. Kaimana Hotel, Sans Souci Apartments, and
Colony Surf Apartments. Michel's Restaurant is on the first floor of the Colony Surf, looking out on the beach. Recommended.
Meanwhile my friend Ron was in San Diego at the Marine Corps birthday bash as the guest of honor.
Monday afternoon, November 21st. It was a rainy day so very uncrowded. I went by myself while Andrea stayed home
and worked in the kitchen getting ready for Thanksgiving. She doesn't like the beach if the sand is damp. I did my usual swim
