In the afternoon I went to the uncrowded beach while Andrea got her nails done.
We met Lynn and Walter at Roy's for a great dinner. Andrea and I had the dim sum canoe for two. Lynn had the scallops.

After guiding the tour of five at the Manoa Heritage Center, we went for a swim at Sans Souci Beach.

Andrea got this great shot of Diamond Head. The vog seems to have cleared up.
I slouched down so Andrea could get us both in (Diamond Head and me).

Photo with flash this time. I think I like the natural light better.
The finished table. Painted it blue with yellow, green, and white decorations.
I also refurbished the suspended bonsai bench, painting it blue and white and replacing the rope suspension with
stainless cable and turnbuckles.
On Thursday, March 10th, we went to the beach and at the Kahala exit we saw a man on the sidewalk, not moving.
We pulled over. A couple in a car had pulled over too and they had called 911, but couldn't stay. I stayed until the paramedics
and police arrived. He appeared either really drunk or on the verge of a diabetic coma. He was unconscious when I approached
him on foot, but woke up before the paramedics arrived. He was holding a cigar and a lighter and his knuckles were skinned,
as if they had scraped the sidewalk. The paramedic thanked me and we left.
On Friday, March 11th, we went to the beach. We swam and then I did my pullups and bardips. It was windy, but
not too bad. The water was clear and we swam out toward the wind sock.
We arrived a little early and waited in the back yard in the shade.
We didn't get to go inside the firehouse, but got a tour of the engine.
The fire captain did most of the talking.
A fireman suited up to show us the gear.
I counted 16 adults attending the tour.

Later on Friday I finally got around to restoring the copper tetrahedron I made back in 1971. Here it is after wire brushing.
After the business meeting we had bonsai show and tell.
Thanksgiving 1977: the tetrahedron is hanging next to the shell lamp. It needed refurbishing.

Afterward we went to the Kaimana Hotel bar for pupu and Manhattans.

Our waitress Ashley took this photo. Cheers!
The TV behind Andrea was distracting so we picked up our drinks and moved to this table. Desserts!
On the way home we stopped at Russel Convenience in the Kaimana Hotel building and bought some cans of blueberry tea.
Andrea took lots of photos.

Later we moved inside to eat because the weather became drizzly.

We went to Zippy's in Hawaii Kai for lunch on Wednesday, March 23rd.
Next we had the Toyota (bronze, second from left) washed at McKinley Car Wash on Kapiolani.
The outside view of the cafeteria at Aina Haina Elementary School.
The room filled up fairly quickly. Drew and Estelle Murphy joined us at our table.
Senator
Mazie Hirono,
a Hillary supporter, was there.
We went to dinner at Bill and Caroline's house where we saw some baby ducks.
They have a number of Pacific art works.
Paul and Faye came over for slow cooked lamb shanks dinner.
