Kalani Robotics Build Season Week Five

The build season entered its fifth week on Sunday, February 1st.


On Monday evening I showed Kevin and Darius how to do a wheel force calculation for the Mechanum drive. Click the image

On Tuesday, February 4th, Andrea took Lenore's Toyota in for its 30 thousand mile servicing. Photo by Andrea.

The team is excited Wednesday evening.


Darius leads the status meeting. It's good to see so many girls on the team.


I showed Cammy and Kevin how to do a force margin calculation for the lift mechanism.


We have a robot! Only one more week to go before we have to ship it to Australia for the first FRC competition.

Friday morning Andrea and I took her car to Lex Brodie's for air conditioning service. We had breakfast at Big City Diner
and then took Lenore's car to McKinley Car Wash.

In the afternoon Andrea and I went to Sans Souci Beach Park where she went for a walk near Diamond Head while I swam.

To Kill a Mockingbird at Diamond Head Theater

Andrea and I took Lenore to see the play at DHT on Sunday, February 8th.


On Saturday Andrea found some old bonsai drawings so I scanned them. This one is by Harry Hirao of a tree I won in a demo.


This one is by John Naka for a tree he advised me on at a bonsai club meeting.

We arrived early to the theater (about 3:20) on Sunday afternoon.
