Andrea and I went to the afternoon memorial service for Bob McGlone on the University of Hawaii campus on Sunday, August 9th.

While waiting for the ceremony to begin I walked to Bachman Hall and got this photograph with the Mauan Kea protectors'
ahu in front. I was there in late 1968 for a Vietnam War protest where students had chained themselves together on the
second floor. I would be drafted into the Army six months later.

The event was well attended with lots of people standing.

It's a beautiful setting and one of Bob's favorite places on campus.

Andrea made me blueberry pancakes for breakfast on my birthday (August 11th), and Mom gave me this birthday card with tikis.

I continued to work on the party favors. Tusday, August 11th.
