This is an exciting time to be a Democrat and I urge you all to rise to this challenge of history. We live
in unprecedented times, with correspondingly rich opportunities to improve the fortunes of our Nation, State,
and City. My priorities for the club, which I touched on briefly at our last meeting (April 9, 2008), are synergistic:
Everyone should help in recruiting new members. Anyone you know who is interested in politics and shares ou Democratic values (community, fairness, liberty, good government, etc.) is fair game. Urge them to attend ou meetings and join our club. With more members we can do more precinct organizing.
Everyone should help in precinct organizing. Knock on doors in your local neighborhood (we can get you lists of Democrats in your precinct) and talk about the issues and candidates. You will likely find new recruits to the club that way too (synergy!). It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and build a strong local community.
As election day draws near, we will then be in a good position to get out the vote. Torrance will become the great political power for Democratic values that it deserves to be!
