Moiliili
I lived in Moiliili, between Manoa and the Ala Wai Canal, from the winter of 1978 through the fall of 1979, in a rooming house on Coolidge Street
now demolished. Star Market, between Beretania and King Street, is now a Long's Drugs. Willows Restaurant on Hausten is still there. The
Japanese Cultural Center on Beretania is a prominent new addition.
I went to movies at the Varsity Theater, since demolished.
I would go to Anna Bannana's occasionally, now demolished.
I lived in Moiliili for two years and had never been to the Moiliili Community Center until a few years ago. The Hawaii Bonsai Association
meets there. September, 2018.
