Rick's October 2009 Photos

A view of the pool at the Ramada Inn in Monterey on Fremont Street, where
I stayed for the weekend of Saturday, October 11th, for Dad's 90th and
40th wedding anniversary celebration. It was too cool and cloudy, so I
didn't swim.

I walked across Fremont street to Casa Verde street where I saw the world's
most amateurish phone line installation on this dead oak tree.

The view of the Ramada Inn from across Fremont Street. Don't you just hate
it when people take pictures without anyone in them?

The old Del Monte Gardens skating rink (yes, it's still there) next to the
Navy Postgraduate School.

At the top of Casa Verde street was this house. I like the architecture.

Continue down Casa Verde street and one comes to the beach and this view
of the Monterey Peninsula.

The club house at Carmel Valley Ranch with Gary and Christina and Lisa's
backside.

Pat, Corey, Lisa, Christina, and Gary gathering to go into the club house.

Gary steps out of the picture and I step in.

All of the above with Dad who had just arrived.

Some of my plants with the famous bilithic obelisk. The privet just to the
right of the obelisk went for 50 bucks as a donation to the annual Dai Ichi
Bonsai Kai
auction.

More of my potted plants. The neighbor's bauhenia (orchid tree) is in the
left background.

The entryway to my house with some more plants and a tiki.

The front of my house with even more potted plants.

Plants along the front of the house.

Plants in the right front of the house. The plumeria on the corner is from
seed.

Thomas in the sunlight and not melting.

Andrea at the airport, obviously glad to be home from Hawaii.

Andrea with Tom and champagne, happy to be home.

Andrea is ecstatic on being home.

By the car and pine with cracker.
