Alien
I saw Alien in 1979 on Oahu when I was dating Andrea and scared the hell out of her. The "alien" is a creature that goes
through several life stages and metamorphoses, like insects. Its final life stage is a space ship. Humans find a crashed ship
and while exploring the ship, they find it contains living eggs. There were several sequels.
